1960 Erwine & Estelle Laverne Buttercup Molded Lucite Chair From Invisible Group

$2,640.00

Mid century modern Buttercup chair from The Invisible Group. This chair is designed by Erwine and Estelle Laverne from Laverne Originals. The Buttercup chair is constructed from lucite, a type of acrylic that the Laverne's used experimentally in their furniture. This example was produced circa 1960. The seat is a zebra fur circular cushion. There is no makers mark on the chair.

Dimensions - 30ʺW × 28ʺD × 23.38ʺH

Condition Details - The chair is vintage so a base level of wear is to be expected. The chair is in very good vintage condition. We do our best to describe everything and we are pointing out some marks to the lucite. But let me say this is probably one of the cleanest examples out there. There are some noticeable scratches and scuffs throughout the lucite (pictured) the cushion is real zebra and although it looks very nice it but has become hard. Overall, we are surprised by how clean the lucite is; theres little to no discoloration throughout the chair. Please see photos for in-depth details of the condition.
